Snickers aka Asher is a year and a half old now, and I don't know what I would do without him! He has earned his certification as a service dog, and is so good and loving! Here is a copy of his neutering certificate from last fall, as well as his picture taken today. His gorgeous hair is about 10 inches long now on his head and tail :) He loves to be brushed and lies there patiently while I French-braid his hair.

I thought I would give you an update.
Things are going very well now. Elijah has fully adjusted to his surroundings. It took him a long time to get used to the new sounds and smells. He did pretty good going through basic obedience training. He was very cautious around the male trainer and didn't like the big dogs much at all! He still did good.
He loves the snow!!! At a point our whole back yard had snow 4 inches deep. He went bounding through it like a rabbit. There were no paw prints, just big dents in the snow every 3 feet from his bounding around. As soon as I saw him enjoying the snow I said to him that he sure is a Tibetan dog. My kids made a small snow hill that Elijah was constantly climbing. We called it mini-mount-Lhasa.
Elijah has now adjusted well to me. It seemed like he knew that I was the authority figure in the house and was cautious as a result. He and I have fun. I can be a little noisy, especially when I am playing with the kids. I think that took a while for him to get used to as well. Outside he plays more freely than inside. I have never seen a small dog run as fast as he does. He can outrun my 10 year old!
My wife Tracy has also done well with Elijah. She has never had a dog or cat before. Elijah loves Tracy. They have bonded well. He absolutely LOVES our kids. Elijah and I are always the first ones up in the morning. As each child comes downstairs from their bedrooms, Elijah runs over to great them with puppy kisses. If I am tickling the children and they laugh loudly, Elijah will run over as if something is wrong but then he will just watch VERY closely.
We love his bark and how he uses it. His watch dog instincts seem to be coming out a bit. The only time he barks is when the door bell rings or if he thinks someone is outside our door. One night he was barking at my shadow outside! Thank you again for all your efforts in getting Elijah to us. There is more joy in our house because of him.

It was a year ago on July 27th that I brought little furry Emma home with me. I instantly fell in love with her in your front room, but even then I had no idea how she would impact our lives in such a wonderful way. She has brought our families so many moments of laughter- and much love. Our parents consider her a grand child- and only grand daughter! She has taught us to relax and play fetch and worry about the yard work later. Maybe it is because we do not have children that she seems to have impacted our lives so greatly in such an amazing way- whatever it is- it is wonderful. And all those moments are thanks to you! Dear Spooner Family,
We wanted to update you on our little angel that was passed on to us this year! Ms. Rachel as you know is now a year old today! She is the most amazing little addition to our family! We can’t remember what our life was like without her. She is a ball of energy that just takes all the worry, pain and everyday stresses right out of you and fills you up with so much love and warmth.
We have had the best time watching her grow up and learn so many things! She has mastered fetching, shaking, barking when the doorbell or phone rings as well as being house trained! We are beginning to think that we are the ones that are spoiled! She rules the house in her own special way! She is a big time girly girl who loves to be pampered! And we love pampering her! She is so protective of her house and all her loved ones!
Her favorite things are tennis balls, long afternoon naps, foot rubs and hide n seek! She gets especially excited when a new visitor comes to the house! And of course everyone comes to see her and only her!
Saying Thank You will never say enough for the gift that you have given us of our little Rachel! She is definitely a heaven sent and will bring many more years of happiness to our family!

Hi Denise, I just wanted to let you know you have sold your last, smartest, cutest, most wonderful
lhaso ~ you can NOT top Miss Millie!! We are having such a wonderful time, and she is soooo smart~ as well as darling/beautiful ~ and I am daily amazed! Today she crawled into her crate and took a nap!! Oh my goodness! I was working in the office at home all day and she was keeping me
company, and just got sleepy, I guess! (She has been sleeping for about 6 hours straight in the
crate at our bedside.) And she also yipped a few times, earlier in the day, and I couldn't figure
out what the problem was so I took her to the utility room (the food-paper-etc room) and she had
to potty! She has actually done the potty thing before, but today it was obvious! I injured my
foot over the weekend (stitches, broken toe) and she is such good medicine!! I am so thankful.
She even did great in church!! I took a chew bone and she laid around on my Bible/book bag, and
was good as gold! I am soo sooo grateful for her; thank you so much!! You were right in the very
beginning ~ you thought we were "meant to be" and I was unsure (only temporarily). I am lovin'

A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to
"Where do pets come from?"
Adam and Eve said, "Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us
every day. Now we do not see you any more. We are lonesome here, and it is
difficult for us to remember how much you love us."
And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that will be
with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that
you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or
childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you
are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves."
And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve.
